what drivers do i need to get just to get xp installed?

sig not showing up, so.......
Comp is a dell studio 1737 250gb 5400rpm vista home prem. installed, 320gb 7200, t9400 2.53ghz, 1066fsb, 4gb ddr2 667mhz, 17" wuxga 1900x1400..... 256mb ati...


i know i will ahve probs finding some. i jsut can not get the damn thing to even let me put xp on it. goes to start xp and pops up the blue screen of death.
 
i want to help, i just am not following what the problem is.. you lost your driver disk?


ill say it again a diff way. as in the sig, new model, vista installed.
putting in xp.
what divers are needed just to the xp os can be installed?

refusing to boot xp in any way currently.

The drivers may not exist. It likely that if the computer is newer then there won't be any XP drivers for it. You can check the Dell website. Is that computer has a Sata HDD drive then you will have to install the Sata drivers before installing Windows XP since Windows XP doesn't have Sata drivers. Even if you do this there will likley be other componets that don't work correctly as well. You will have to look around the internet or give something like Driver Packs a try.

Only the original XP disc that doesn't have the SATA drivers. the SP1 included discs removed that issue already.
