I know I already made a thread on this but I'm still skeptical about these other drivers and the people that use them, who will say that they're the best drivers ever..... Please post you're opinions......

I've had less problems using Omega. I hate the Catalyst CC and the ATi Control Panel with the Omega Drivers has MUCH more features and is MUCH less bulky (just a tiny system tray app). I've also noticed less artifacts on them. No actual performance difference, just less annoying.

But wouldn't you have a performance differnce if you get less artifacts.....? No offense but this is what I'm talking about..... People say they have more options but is it through the driver or through ATi Tray Tools, becaus e it sounds like it's through ATI Tray Tools...... Also, people tend to be really vague when they describe any performance differnces.....

by performance i meant FPS gain....there is none. The artifacts im talking about arent due to overclocking, they are anomolies in shader rendering. for example: with the ATi drivers in Earth 2160 the water looked really.....odd, it looked like fog with no reflection. Same driver version but with Omega produced the cool water that Earth 2160 is said to have. another example is I used to get wierd color variations in FarCry and the Omega drivers fixed that to some extent.

Since the Omega drivers come with ATi Tray Tools, I consider it part of the features, you may not but I do. Either way you can go straight into the display settings and do pretty much everything from there but its so much more easier to have it all at the click of an icon in the taskbar. I consider the CCC part of ATis drivers as a "feature" not a great feature, but a feature nonetheless.
