i am creating dvds and would like to know what dvds will work on most dvd players at the moment i seem to be making dvds that can only be played on xbox's, playstation 2, and pc's.
would dvd+r be the best??????

Definitely DVD-R, and try to stick to media like Ritek G0X and Verbatims, as these are most reliable for good burning and playback.

Of course with DVD+R you can also kinda workaround it by bitpressing :) (naturally itd just be better to start with DVD-R and avoid the problems :P)

I agree, DVD-R is the best for game consoles, PCs, etc...

I seem to have better luck with DVD+R for use in Home DVD players

In the case of home DVD players, it is best to look up what the compatability is as far as non-dvd movie discs. I think every one they sell in the store says right on the box what the compatable types of media are.

You can always google the model # and get the specs as well. :)

DVD-R.it's the offical standard.
1.make sure that your dvd-r are not "for DATA" only.
2.make sure that your dvd player is compatible with it.

but DVD-R series are slower than DVD+R series.
