What else could be wrong

I have two identical desktops. Both won't turn on. I've replace the power supply on one to test. That didn't work. Nothing comes on. Not even the LED lights. There are no sounds, nothing. I need the files off of both systems. If I can't get them to work, how can I get the information off of them??? What else could be wrong??

The fan doesn't spin, nothing sounds or moves. As I stated I replaced the power supply with a new one and still nothing, no sounds, no signs that anything is happening.

When you say nothing, you didnt mention fans, do any of them even spin a tiny bit, or twitch at all, is there ANY indication of power getting around the system at all, ANYTHING, ANY tiny noise inside??

Well, as long as the HDD's arent whats causing the problem, then simply take out the harddrives, switch the jumpers to SLAVE and connect them up to a working system (your own PC?).... Boot into windows on your master disk and then simply browse to the SLAVE disk using windows explorer etc... copy, paste, burn whatever

Well, from what you describe, theres one thing i can suggest is wrong.... EVERYTHING. Seriously, we really cant narrow it down based on what youve said. It could be the motherboard, RAM, Processor, it could even be the case, yes, the case, it could well be touching something and shorting the PSU out hence not turning on. The switch on the case (the power button) bay be dead, the contacts inside may be dead. I take it you have actually checked that the switch is actually connected to the motherboard?

Stoopid question-- are they plugged into the wall and is the wall outlet good?

Believe it or not, I answered a call to a house where the outlet the computer was plugged into was attached to a light switch which was turned off.
