so with that aside can someone give detail decription of what OEM can be or is of all its meaning and everyone because i know there are lota us out there that gets confused when it comes to OEM sometimes we only half know what it is?

Like is there any performance difference .. whats different????

As described before, OEM just means that it comes with the main item, and the main item only. Newegg sells all open box stuff OEM, meaning that motherboard will come with no drivers CD, no I/O shield, no cables, etc.

Usually, the difference in price is not that big, but the motherboard that you selected has a lot of accessories, such as a remote, and fan, and a WiFi antennae, which would not be included, hence the bigger price difference.

Realize there's a difference between open boxed stuff and OEM. OEM is NEW, open boxed is used.

Neither is necessarily true. Open box stuff is not always used, sometimes it is stuff that was sent back because the buyer changed their mind, or it was incompatible.

And Newegg lists all of their open box and recertified stuff, used or new, as OEM, just because that is the way it is packaged.

Open box is used, if the packaging has been opened and returned they sell it as open box with no guarantee that all the extra parts are in the box. OEM are (new) parts bought from a supplier that were never in retail boxes to be sold on store display!!

Most people and some companies will consider hardware to be used if it's simply removed from it's official factory packaging regardless of if it's actually been powered up or not. For the fact that once the component has left their factory and is in the customers hand, if opened at their end and then returned, the selling company has absolutely no guarantee that it was in fact not powered and only taken out of it's box.

OEM stands for Original Equipments Manufacture and OEM softwares should be shipped with new computers which is defined as having at least a motherboard, CPU, RAM and a hdd. Vendors are not supposed to sell OEM softwares by themselves.
