What free anti-virus do you recommend besides ##

Avira, AVG, Avast!. Norton will eventually charge me and I must give out personal information to be able to download Norton.

I wish to have free trial anti-virus that also will protect against other computer threats.

I have an eMachines Windows XP by the way : )

The other one I'd recommend aside from Avast would be Microsoft Security Essentials.

I'd just recently tried MSE on a few computers. I think it has done a fine job. It has an easy, simple interface and a quick update speed. I'm also impressed with its detection ability, it seems quicker than other programs in finding infections and quarantining them.

I agree with the above posters. MSE is a great program. I personally use Avast though.

WOW I wasn't expecting norton to be as good as those test results had shown.
