What GHZ p4 beats a celeron 2.9GHZ?

well i know that the p4 beats any celeron, but what GHZ will really be a noticeable difference? im looking on ebay for one at or above 2.4GHZ, will it be enough? i think they all have a 1MB cache so thats real nice, not even my AMD 3400 on MY rig has that much lol

so what'cha all think?

Tough call, I would look for a P4 with a speed of 2.6Ghz or more, but I would mainly look for a P4 with a higher cache, as thats one of the major reasons the P4 beats the Celeron.

yeah the ones im looking at have a 1MB cache so thats good, im guessing all a celeron is is a p4 without the cache? that blows lol

Generally the only major differences between the P4 and Celeron are the lower cache and lower FSB.
