What GPU?

So I'd like to buy a graphics card, but I'm not quite sure what to get... here's what I want:

Under $100
512MB+
PCI x16 (1.0 and 2.0, 2.0 is preferable.)
Runs on the following rig:

ASUS M3A78-CM Mobo
AMD 64 X2 5000+ 2.6
400W Rosewill Stallion PSU

(take note of the 400W PSU.)

So... any help? Thanks! :)

EDIT: I kinda like the looks of this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130395

Nice specs, good reviews, and low price. Thoughts?

That is a sweet setup you got there. Hahah :P What PSU do you have? A 400W might just be barely enough for 9600GT if you have a good PSU.

lol I forgot I changed my sig. :P

It's a Rosewill Stallion 400W... It'd be awesome if I could run that 9600 GSO... according to the nVidia site my PSU meets the minimum requirements.

i wouldn't trust that rosewill if i were you, they have a nasty habbit of blowing up and taking parts with them, ask mmneza(Alien? Where!) i know of a certain 40 dollar corsair that would handle it no problem, though

That stinks... according to the reviews it's supposed to be a good PSU. Is that just if you take it up to the limit that it does that?

as far as i can tell with the rosewills, its like playing Russian roulette, sometimes you win(psu works great) and somethings you lose(psu goes and takes everything with it) anyway, heres the corsair i was talking about, 33 amps on the 12v rail: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139008 when you get to the cart, just put in "MAR20" and you should get like $10 off

Well, if you deceide not to go w/ the 9600GT, then i would go w/ this card.
I have it my self, and it preforms great!
It is a little more than the 9500GT in price about the same as a 9600GT, but it preforms a lot better than a 9500GT...

No extra power needed
GDDR4
Will work perfectly on your PSU, i am running it on a no-name 400watt, w/ is a POS.
3way crossfire
14watts at idle, and 60watts max.

SAPPHIRE 100255DDR4 Radeon HD 4670 512MB 128-bit GDDR4 PCI Express 2.0 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102818

+1 get a 4670...unbelievably low power usage. Jozeorules is running one with a 300 watt hp psu...

Just as a side note, my Rosewill 500W has been working good for like a year and a half now. Running rig in my sig.

read through this thread, thats the only reason why i'm saying you probably won't want to really tax your psu, i looked at another thread, and it seems that good psu's and bad psu's are like right at 50/50, so its pretty much a crapshoot

I have a 450W running an overclocked 8800GT, but it has like 35W on a single 12V rail so it runs very cool. I just don't know about 2 14A rails.
