What graphics card do i get?

Hey I have a dell XPS 420, the 2007 model. It has a intel core 2 quad processor Q6600 @2.4 GHZ. I play some computer games and would like a little more fps than i have now. The game i mainly play is similar to minecraft. I would like more fps and i hear i should upgrade my video card. Which one should i get?

What do you currently have or are you using onboard video? If so, then you will also need to upgrade your power supply.

I am not sure, It had no upgrades on it other than a 1TB hard drive and external hard drive.

You'd probably still want to upgrade the PSU based on age/efficiency but what does the existing one in the computer say on it for wattage?

The 2600XT pulls around that ballpark wattage wise, so it should be a straight swap.

If you pop off the side of the PC, there should be a sticker on the power supply that lists its output specs, usually it's broken down per 3.3v, 5v, and 12v. Be wary of PSUs that have a large amount of their wattage dedicated to the 5v rail (amps*volts=watts).
