Im trying to figure out what's wrong with my laptop. I need to find out what component is the culprit, either my mobo, cpu, or video card.

On any Asus computer, when powering on you will see the Asus logo and also hear the Asus logo sound. My problem is that when i power on my laptop, i ONLY hear the Asus sound, and i see no logo, the screen remains blank.

I would like to know what will happen if you power up your computer without a videocard, also without no onboard videocard. I know the screen will be blank, but will you hear the logo sound on startup? Can someone test this for me?

Here is more specific info on my problem if you can help http://www.computerforum.com/188799-please-help-asus-laptop-problem.html

I guess it doesnt have to be an asus computer, any computer that usually plays the company's logo sound on startup

i really would like to fix this problem so any help is very much appreciated

Try connecting the laptop to an external monitor. Your screen could just be dead. Failing that, your graphics card is dead as the computer still seems to boot fine.
