My budget is £40

But some one in the review mentioned something about rotational speed or something could be better? have no clue what hes on about.

I just bought 2 of them. Right now, I am copying files to the drive and it is pretty slow, read my thread about it. Of course, it could be my system and not the hard drive, I have been having other problems which I think is mobo related.

I sure hope it is not the hard drive. I am not trying to keep you from buying this drive, it should be a good drive according to the reviews.

The blacks are meant to be the fast ones aren't they?

I've got 2 of their 640Gb ones sitting in a box waiting for a computer - they were pretty cheap, but I imagine being made of 2 x 320Gb 'disks' they'll be of an older design. I haven't tried them yet, but I looked around before buying and they were pretty well regarded.

I think that I would give that drive a thumbs-up, based on the fact that it's made by WD and that it has good specs. ;)
