i am looking to keep my computer running fast as the day i got it so what programs out there keep your computer clean and running fast? what is a good defragmenter and also a good cleaner of temporary files? also if you guys recommend any other software that would be awesome.

CCleaner is good, I use it everyday almost.

If you have XP, it includes alot of System Tools that are helpful, including a Defragmenter, Backup, and Disk Cleanup. Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools should get you there.
