hi what is a good program for mass emailing,,ok just about 30 emails,,,want to send the same email to everyone without each email address seeing each others email address....
thanks

Just compose a single email, send it to yourself and BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) all other recipients. As far as I know, you can do this with any email program.

Advanced Mass Sender is one of the marketing softwares for just that. http://www.kbbsoftware.com/

That's also the type of program that's been a great tool for spammers as well! Ever open up your email inbox and see... ! "where did all this crap come from?!" GGrrrr... Lately someone was asking how to see it removed thinking it was a virus!

Just create a group in your address book and add the e-mail addresses you want in that group. then in the "to" field, you just type the name of the group. (In things like Outlook, Netscape, and Thunderbird anyway)

Now there's a good idea!!

Yeah. Great idea. Validate your email address so they can sell it to all their buddies and you get 10x the spam. Of course we won't forget that they forge the email headers, bounce it off half a dozen servers, that you trace the route and you end up in some place in the Arctic.

Sounds about idiotic enough for him to dream up.

You're the only one idiotic around here. You're lowered mentality is quite clearly displayed all over the forum indicating you don't have anything going right in your own life. Someone with balance in life isn't constantly trying to lash out at people as you demonstrate.

Wait a second. Is that the same person who was posting cut and paste tombstone and roadsign SirKenin insults and getting posts deleted for calling me names? Bashing people (like Stranglehold or myself) that CONSISTENTLY prove that you don't have the first clue? Trying to stop people from making costly errors because they may actually pay attention to your "PC expert" rubbish?

Nah. It couldn't be. Could it? Why yes it is. The very same individual who posts drivel after drivel after meaningless drivel, pretending he knows what he's talking about.

Are you sure it's a good idea to throw stones from your glass house?

I'm sorry. I didn't realize that cutting and pasting from search engines made you a "PC expert" that had everything going for you. My bad. How stupid of me to think that the proof should be in the pudding and the only proof I've seen from you is that you don't have a goddamn clue what you're talking about most of the time, that your best case scenario is "wannabe" and that posting pictures that show what it is I do as opposed to your stupidity that you paste from Google Image Search somehow defined you as the person who has "got it going on".

Let me ask you something. If you're such a display of success, why the hell do you sit in here, consistently misleading people with your stupidity, constantly hitting the search engines and posting nonsense without apparently either reading the other posts or even bothering to assess the relativity of the drivel you paste.. and racking up 17,000 posts of mostly complete, utter, inane stupidity?

Is that the model that you think we should aspire to? A loser that has so much time on his hands that all he ever does is copy and paste search engine results? Is that what's defined as "got it going on"? Shoot me now.

Well Mr. "IT Pro for over 22yrs. since age 14?"(it takes a few years of actual work experience to be more then simply an intern not playing with an Atari or Commodore) look who is the one actually making all of the "loud claims" proving the point even further?!

Yes, I agree. What I define as "work experience" is owning a computer business since 1997, subcontracting to other computer businesses, tutoring computers for the government, teaching computers to grade school students, running a successful office location/retail front, programming for teachers, installing and maintaining point of sale systems, networks, servers, remote assistance, repairing countless POS western digital hard drives, data recovery, etc.

What I don't class as "work experience" is copying and pasting irrelevant drivel from the search engines on a message board.

The proof is in my pudding. You can see it in what I post. If that's the case then, the proof in your pudding is "Google wannabe".

Guys don't bitch in someone else's thread. Take it to PM or a mod

He trashes one thread after another without any regard for the OP. As you can see he just mouthed off again as uaual.

He calls himself professional? Professional mouth only! A genuine business owner as well as an actual tech wants to display the appropiate respect and courtesy at all times! Do you see that from him? No!

What kind of courtesy? Tombstone insults? Street sign insults? Names?

This tech/business owner has a great deal of disdain for hacks, wannabes and posers, as this tech/business owner often gets called to deal with the fallout from hack, wannabes and posers who love to talk the talk, yet fail to walk the walk.

This tech/business owner has a great deal of disdain for hacks, wannabes and posers who make things more complicated than they need to be, to the point that the end user goes "huh? What?", or spends money they need not spend, or gets frustrated and walks away because hacks, wannabes and posers that are pretending to walk the walk confuse the issue with (irrelevant) bs and blather "as seen there", then throw in a couple of irrelevant images to seal the deal.

Real business owners/techs have the best interest of the client at heart, not some hack, wannabe or poser that likes to pretend to be something they're not, and real business owners/techs, try to protect the innocent from hacks, wannabes and posers.

Jesus, one of you guys should go to Desktop Computers, the other to Off-Topic Chat, and let this thread finish up.

Agreed, reported.

If you felt so strongly about it, isn't that what you should have done to begin with as opposed to trying to play the thread cop/mod role yourself?

Anyways, don't worry about it. It's done, but it's not reasonable to expect everyone to march to your nobody drum, trying to silence others and say "that's it".. Nobody cares what you "said". You're just another member like the rest of us. Report. Let the mods do their job and you do yours.

And with that... I retire. :)
