What is a good Wi-fi w range?

I bought a U.S. Robotics Maxg Model 5461 and a D-Link Range Booster Model WBR-2310 routers. I find the range is not what I need. My computer is 50 feet away and I am receiving a low signal. Is there a Wi-fi router that someone could recommend?
 
if your receiving a low signal from that close its possibly not the routers fault. if you installed a pci card it might be a bad one or maybe signal interferance. i wouldnt blame the router though, i have a router, belkin 54G, te signal goes through four walls, about 45 feet and i always have a "very good" connection.

I don't think it is the card because I also have a laptop that is receiving the same signal strength.
