What is better... Intel HD graphics (1274MB) or ATI Radion 5470 (512MB)?

i will be using it for a few games - i'm not a hardcore gamer

it has a Intel Core i5 processor.

its either... HP DV6/HP DV4 (both same price)

The intel HD will be better.

5470. The intel hd will use system ram as video ram. that makes it slow. Also being intel graphics makes it slow

Intel's new onboard GFX are very powerful, better than AMD's now. And pulling ram for IGP is not a big deal if you have atleast 4gb and will not ''slow things down''.

The DV4 looks to have an AMD turion II cpu, correct? Not an intel I5. The I5 is a WAY better cpu, and the intel graphics are way plenty good seeing how the resolution is only 1366x768 on that laptop.
