Not sure, my guess would be the 7800. I would personally go with whatever is cheaper, but if the 7800 is in your budget,get it.

think of it this way, if you have 2 6800s now in SLi, you would have to replace them both later, the single GTX would be able to be SLid later for added performance for less money.

Yea go with the 7800GTX, you probly would get better performance and when you want to upgrade to SLi all you need is another 7800GTX. Also 7800GTX just sound better

no the 6800 is 12 pipes but as i heard it can be unlocked to 16 pipes

anyway i would choose one 7800 GTX over two 6800

yes, the gtx has many more pipelines.
and besides, within a year or so, i bet they will have the 8000 series.
so to eventually save some cash, go for the gtx.
then sli it. but hopefully by then they will beable mix video cards.
have a better card with the 7800gtx and the better card will dumb down to match the gtx. then drop the gtx and match the 2 good cards
