What is good video editing software?

I want to splice 8 .wmv's into one long movie.

Do you know a good program for that?

I use Adobe Premiere Elements, It's not professional but for home use it will create DVDs and will let you edit this our frame by frame. Once you get use to it it's very easy and will allow you to wash out parts.

I prefer Sony Vegas Pro 11, and have used it for quite some time now.

If you're just putting clips together, I recommend Windows Movie Maker.

It's FREE, easy to use, and will do the job pretty well!

I think Virtual Dub is a really good program for video editing, its free and there are plenty of youtube videos on how to use it.
