what is happening, what is this virus

so one of my friends was talking to me on aim when they send a message saying to go to this website and look at this pic. when i go it says i have to download the pic and since it was a friend i did. it turns out that the friend did not send the message but some virus or something sent it. now i have the virus. it sends messages on aim when i talk to people. it just sent this one "my profile picture you asked for: http://yourprofile.dynu.com/IMAGE03.com" (dont go to link) i have done 2 virus scans, one was in safe mode and 3 ad-aware scans, one also in safe mode. the virus is still there. please help.
 
uninstall aim, delete the program file of it. Then go back and install it. That might help. If not then the virus will be very very hard to find
 
I scanned it with norton and ewido and it did not find anything, however I am not going to open it up to see what it is for ya! Do as savagenator sugested and uninstall aim, delete program file and clean everything out of your registry that might be left over and reinstall!

When i try to delete them they failed the only ones that got deleted wasSsk.exe SskBho.dll Sskcore.dll IeBHO.dll (only one of the IeBHO.dll there is still one left)
 
i just a scan with ad-aware and i got: e2give(8), Prutect(22), Adware.Freeprod Toolbar(4) and Other (1). i also get this MRU what is that?
 
Thats spyware that adaware is picking up from somewhere but I doubt it came from that file...have adaware fix all those, delete aim and reinstall it!
 
i have delete aim but the problem is still here. i think the virus is called Freeprod because all of the sudden a window popped up and said "downloading content" and the window was named Freeprod. how do i get ride of it
 
You probally can't delete the malware because it's already running.

Boot into safe mode and try scanning again.

The .com you're talking about is a FLD, not a url :P .
 
well so far i downloaded Spy Sweeper and it seems to have taken care of my problem i will talk to someone soon on aim and find out if the virus is gone, thanks all for the help
