what is it?

a nvidia tesla card thing? i saw someone have one of those in their build i have no clue what it is though. cause he had a normal gpu then that. also what exactly is a raid array? and i also started reading about PPUs and all these other chips and such that are like CPUs and GPUs but different, and it got me curious, are there any computer parts that are rarely ever used or just not common, but still have a purpose? also anyone know of any just really cool accessories for computers? like really awesome joysticks or just anything at all, i just wanted to ask these random things in hope a good and interesting discussion could start up :)

i know quadros are designing cards, and the gt/gtxs are gaming, but i don't remember what teslas are, might be the highest end designer cards? and a raid array is basically using 2 hdds as 1, so that you have close to 2x the speeds of a single one. and idk what a ppu is, i know an apu is a cpu and gpu on the same chip if that is what you meant.

a ppu is a physics processing unit, its used to process the physics in a game along with the gpu and cpu, but idk how it like works and doesnt a gpu or the cpu do that job anyway? idk it confused me, and idk whats with the tesla because the guy had like 2 gpus and 2 cpus in the thing already then he added the tesla

tesla is a type of graphics card. I do believe that they are used to compute things, and they replace the CPU in one really big ass scientific computer here in Australia. I think that they're also used for 3D modelling and rendering.
Don't quote me on this though, it's just what I remember.

yeah i heard something about some super comnputer having an array of teslas, im guessing they are too much money for these forums though lol

if i buy 6 of those could i play minecraft? lol and as for my other question if any one knows, 'it got me curious, are there any computer parts that are rarely ever used or just not common, but still have a purpose?'

chipset coolers are basicall a cpu cooler that goes onto pieces of the motherboard to cool them

ethernet cards are a card you can plug the internet cord (ethernet cord) into, and it is supposedly faster than the one on your motherboard.
