Yes that will work. If you plan to install windows XP to a drive connected to that controller you will need a floppy with drivers. The card should come with instructions on how to do this.I was hoping that I could use an interface card which goes in a PCI slot to provide 2 internal & 1 external SATA connectivity options. Will this work?

The only speed restriction is by the total speed of the bus the card is plugged into.If I use one of those PCI interface cards, would there be any kind of restictions? Things like speed, or hard drive capacity?
SATA doesn't have master and slave drives.Cromewell mentioned installing Windows XP, do I have to stick with using it as a master? Or can I use it as a slave drive as well?
