Please what are writting cycles of a SSD disk? how i can count how many writing cycles i need, while i have anlinux server with 7k rpm sata (i has average read write around 2Mb/s and uing 100% of transactions per second..?

are writing cycles about IOPS or about data size?

is there any simple calculation of what is wear rate of a ssd disk?

thank you

Some vendors will give you data capacity as a ballpark figure. For drives like the Crucial M4 the NAND was rated to 72 TB. Therefore you'd have to write ~40.5 GB/day for the next 5 years to reach that figure.

so you mean its about how many data i write, not how many writing operation (IOps)?
i counted im writing 2Mb/s so its around 172gb/day, 63Tb in one year..

ps: there is a SSD 840 evo writing test showing samsung 840 written 700tb of data before writting error happend
