What is the best bang for the buck...?

Im building a pc for a friend and he has about 160 to spend on his graphix card. As of now we are planning to put 2x 7600 gt's in it but i was wonder if it would be wiser to purchase a different card in the 160 price range. Please help. thanks

just for personal info do u think the 8600 is better than a 7950 gt 512mb

The 7950gt is abit better. But it doesn't support DX10.

It's a matter of whether you're running vista or not, and whether you'll have money to spend on it later on. Either way they are great cards for the money.

I have a 7950gt because I was looking to spend that much on a video card and have no intention of going to vista soon so I didn't need dx10 and it runs anything I throw at it at the max resolution... its real nice
