What is the best way to do this?

I have home movies on DVDs that I want to make copies of and put in a safe place just in case the unthinkable happens and my house catches fire but I don't have a clue how to do it..I have DVDshrink but I don't know what to do after I use it and have the folder with all those files that I have no idea what they are...I also have Pinnacle Studio 11 that I use to make the home videos with my camcorder if that makes any difference..

do you have two dvd roms? maybe you can just copy your precious videos dvd directly to a blank dvd by using two dvd roms. Use the "copy from dvd to dvd" function of NERO. It works for me when I want to recopy a DVD.

Unfortunately I only have one DVD burner/reader...And I don't have nero..I don't know much about this stuff,but I figured it can't be that hard,and surely with all the free programs for everything else there would be something just for what i'm trying to do....
