What is the difference between DDR3-1333 DDR3-1600 RAM?

So, I am picking what parts I want in a PC and I can upgrade to the 1600 RAM for a small amount of money. Just wondering what the difference is and if I should upgrade to it?

Thanks :)

Hi 673:)

May not be any noticable difference depending on what your doing. Systems are becomming capable of higher speed RAM tho. Depends on how much extra too. The real cost diff between 1333 and 1600 modules isnt very much and usually about the same.

Have you considered building the pc yourself? So you can get better hardware for about the same? Esp the power supply, which is very important, is one of the places makers use low quality in order to make a profit.

Building it yourself allows quality and you to spend the budget wisely on each component.

There is almost always 0 difference, because they raise the frequency, but to keep it stable, also have to raise the latency, which makes the practice of upping the frequency completely useless

^+1 Keep in spec, you will be happier that way
