In answer to your question, though...

Kingston is a good brand of RAM, IMO, and they probably have different levels or builds for their products. Also, the more expensive set has memory coolers on them, which I think are completely bogus for anything other than making things look pretty, but I digress. Memory is like gas, different grades, but all will make your car run.

There is one stick listed for the first, and two listed for the second. Using the one stick as the 1 Gig baseline, that leads me to believe that the second is either: two sticks of 512 totalling 1 gig (unlikely for the price), or two sticks of 1024 totalling 2 gigs (more likely for the price). It could also just be mis-advertising... Granted, this could be wrong, but I locked in on it right away.
