What is the difference

Hey guys I was wondering if this would run semi high end games such as HL2 city of heroes and others. on the highest settings. its an 8 series and its DX 10, I dunno I guess I'm just a noob with video cards.

sorry but that card is crappy.... its cheap but its for very low end performance, u are gonna need at least an 8600 GT, but id suggest a 8600 GTS or 8800 GTS
 
You wouldn't be able to play Half life 2 with full AA and AS with that card. If you want decent mid range gaming you should go for at the very least the 8600GT, the price is a really good indicator of performance.
 
Dx9 outdated? Can you name more games that are out right now that you have fingers?
I have my doubts on this one, but I have been wrong before?
I will say though that we will soon be in the "dx10 era", maybe by the begining of the year we will have a nice handful of Dx10 games out there so that would a good reason to go ahead and "future-proof" and get a Dx10 model, but I also imagine that these games will still have Dx9 support at least until the Dx10 models come down in price a bit more.
