Pyett New Member May 30, 2007 #1 Can someone explain to me the difference between System Drive and Storage Drive? Thanks.
Cromewell Administrator Staff member May 30, 2007 #2 The system drive has the OS on it and almost always has boot information on it, a storage drive doesn't have either.

Pyett New Member May 30, 2007 #3 Ah, so the storage drive isn't necessary. Basically, another hard drive?
I INTELCRAZY banned May 30, 2007 #5 What is suggested for better performance? Putting your OS on a Raptor and storage on an SE16?
Cromewell Administrator Staff member May 30, 2007 #6 Technically, everything on raptors is better performance but raptors are impractical for storage Putting your OS and programs on the raptor then using a large 7200rpm drive for storage is a good way to go.
