What is this guy actually selling?

What else apart from the operating system would i actually need to get this computer up and running?

A keyboard, mouse and monitor.

Thanks
One more thing, ive been looking at them bare bones packages on tiger direct. Are they any good?

It depends on which ones you are looking at and what you intend to use it for.

Not sure about the 5.4Ghz cpu. lol
He must be doubling the clock speed
because there's 2 cores.

Lots of negatives. I personally wouldn't
buy off of ebay.

Check out Newegg or find a local dealer
so you have some support.

Ok cheers. I have looked at newegg, but im a novice and i dont exactly know what i need. I get a bit confused with all the different parts

That's a stellar rig for $200.00

Read carefully though:
Note: A CPU cooling fan is not included with this CPU. In order to safeguard your warranty and achieve optimum performance we recommend purchasing a new compatible cooling fan

You gotta watch those barebones kits for OEM cpu's.
They don't come with heatsink or fan.

Buyer beware for sure...

You would be better off at ordering an actual barebone unit and finding your own parts instead of the Tigerdirect thrown together sets.

Yea i hear ya. Im considering that, just that im not to savvy with all of this yet. Gonna do some reasearch first :D

Off topic.. Wheres the best place to buy xp, vista etc and which would you reccomend. Im using vista now. Cant say that ive had any major probs but theres a few things dont like about it.

How much experience do you have with building a PC? Are you willing to put the time and effort into building your own desktop computer or would you rather get a pre-built system?

I can give you a good list of parts to buy if you are interested.

He's a power seller - with good ratings. I probably wouldnt' buy a computer ebay but never really thought about it for any length of time. Many ebayers are standard brick and mortar stores with the ebay outlet just as a way to expand sales. I've never had a bad experience with ebay yet from about a dozen purchases ( none computer related ). For the right price - might be worth a try.

I'd email the seller before I purchased the computer though - with any questions i had before purchasing. If no response - I'd definitely pass. Also would read reviews to see if people have been purchasing alot of computer equip from teh guy or if he's selling batteries and this computer is a sideline sale might be risky. If he sells a ton of computer equip ( it looks like he does ) - it'd be less risky.

It's your money - up to you to buy or not :D

I have a 184 eBay transactions, with 100% positive
Feedback score.

I've bought and sold items, and I know what to look
for in Seller Feedback, and that guy has way too many
Negatives for my taste.

But, as you say, it's not my money. Just my opinion.

Sorry for taking so long. It was like 5am in the morning wheni last posted and i needed sleep :)

Yeah if you could do that for me i would really appreciate that. Im not after anything to fancy, just as long as i can play the odd game and surf the net then im happy.

I havent got any experience whatsoever on building computers, but im sure with the help of the forums, online tutorials, youtube videos and some perserverance i would get it done eventually. After all we all gotta start somewhere right..

Cheers
