What is up with this mobo...?

Okay, I am working on a customer's computer and we did asystem restore on it. Well, after the thing decided to send a signal to the monitor. It would turn on, everything would start, but nothing was sent to the monitor. We left it alone for a while, and it still didn't work. I unplugged the two CD drives and then started it up...and it sends signal to the monitor and everything is okay. I shut it off, and reconnect the drives...start it up, and its loading to the monitor fine still. It did this before when we needed to do the restore. After the restore was done we shut it off for the night and came back the next day to reinstall drivers, and it wouldn't load to the screen...and now it will. I assume it is a sign of the mobo going bad but I want to be certain. Does this sound familiar to anyone and is there a way to be 100% sure?

Well if you really want to be sure, try testing the baord with other stuff/in an other computer.

Just out of couriusness, do you work for a certain company, since you said it was for a customer, what company?

I'm a PC tech for Circuit City

The strange thing is that it wouldn't work until I disconnected the CD drives. I figured once I plugged them back in the problem would come back, but it didn't...
