what is wrong?

i need help guys. every time i start my laptop it keeps telling me that my windows explorer has stopped working and keeps restarting. any advice on what to do?
 
Does windows explorer just go away (like the start bar disappear) or does the computer automatically restart itself?
 
no, i didnt boot it into safe mode or anything.
yeah, the start bar disappears for a couple of seconds and comes back. it kept on happening.
