What is your favorite free software?

Mine so far has been GS Typing Tutor. It's just a free trial, but it really helped me to be able to touch type. I also like StarDock Deskscapes for animated wallpaper. Again, it's trial but it works.

Oh man, there's a lot of choices here.
I'm going to not really pick software here, but rather a language you can write software with-Java. I love programming in java, and the possibilities are endless.

Software wise though, linux regardless of the distro is nice, it pretty much has a free version of any program you could ever choose.

Now that i'm done beating around the bush, i'd say rythmbox for music, firefox for internet, and pidgin for my instant messaging needs.

The whole OpenOffice.org is a great software tool. Pretty similar for Microsoft Office for FREE!

Oh and as for the original question I say Ubuntu server and PF Sense as I'm working with both at the moment.

I personally like advanced systemcare PRO, it has released the latest PRO version 4, also, can be free downloaded.
