What is your Favorite Operating System

What is your Favorite Operating System from Dos 1.0 and Windows 1.0 to Windows 11 and also what Operating System do you use today.

Unless it's gaming oriented I usually just throw Ubuntu on whatever. The repo is big enough for most things and it by far has the most robust user base, less time tshooting obscure issues and large out-of-the-box support for most hardware. If more games had better *nix support for compatibility and performance I'd probably just roll that as a daily driver.

Windows 7 Ultimate; it runs my recording software seamlessly. I don't think my old and necessary apps would work as well and I'm not willing to spend money on the "latest thing". I don't go online with it and I have no issues with it.

Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64bit I use it everyday too.

I've always liked Windows XP; it was my favorite for years. Now, I use Windows 10 because it has all the features I need.

For me it would have to be in this order -

  • Windows 2000 Pro - Solid, Stable and clean.
  • Windows 7 Pro - Fairly reliable, Looked pretty.
  • Lubuntu - Earlier versions were much better for low end or older systems.
  • EndeavourOS - New flavour of Linux, Is pretty, Runs super snappy.

Not a fan of how Windows has become, Way too much Bloat, Spying and unnecessarily making things more clicks that it was on its previous gen to accomplish the same task!
