StrangleHold Moderator Staff member Aug 15, 2009 #2 A SATA 3.0 drive will work on a SATA 1.5 slot. Some drives have a jumper on it to force it in SATA 1.5 mode if the chipset has a problem with it. Last edited: Aug 16, 2009
