what kinda fan comes with a AMD Phenom II?

If you are not going to overclock the heatsink and fan Advanced Micro Devices provides is decent quality. What comes with the Phenom II 940 processor is good enough.

Yeah I'm not over clocking. I cant seem to find a picture the fan it comes with, anyone know where I could find one?

It is really pointless with an AMD processor as the fan and heatsink that come with their processors are decent quality. If he was buying an Intel processor though I would agree with you.
Eh, running a quad on the stock cooler, the stock is pretty much crap. Id recommend an aftermarket like an S-963/S-964, or an S1283.

Don't listen to half of these people.
The quad heatsinks are fine, I've had nothing but AMD for my and customer builds for like 3 years now, and they work fine. Rarely do full loads get passed 55*C, and Idle is often around 26-30*C.

That's why you have a D+Zalman 9700? :P

Just kidding. I know what you mean. :P

Here's some better pics of a stock cooler. This one is from a Phenom II X3 720
Higher models look like they come with copper tubes like the link above, but for
the most part, this is what stock AMD coolers look like.

Stock CPU heatsinks are generally enough if you dont overclock, once you start overclocking they generally arent enough, I ran my A64 2800+ for years before buying an aftermarket, it ran at decent temperatures
