i had asked for opinions in another section and from that i just bought
intel core i7 920 bloomfield
windows 7 home edition
western digital caviar black 640
corsair dominator 6gb memory
antec earthwatts 750 - was going to get the 750 pc power and cooling but they were sold out everywhere i checked

so now i need a good mobo and case...and this is not a gaming setup..it's for my husband for christmas..he does a lot of paperwork etc. if that helps...some said to buy the foxconn x58 board...my question is that still a good choice or is that mostly for gaming, as i'm not computer savvy THANKS!!!

and which case out of these would you pic?

I don't know I7 stuff, but I'd go with the Antec case. The quality is better than cooler master typically, plus that antec is known as one of the best cases there is.

I Got Gigabyte EX58 UD3R it has a thick layer of copper for overclocking and heatsinks on the chips so no noisy fans. Has an easy tool for overcocking so you don't need to know anything about overclocking to do it right.

Buy a Coolernaster v8 cooler for your CPU it will take your i7 920 upto 3.8 ghz and not go above 54c
For cases look at Thermaltake the latest one is amazing and very different but well over my budget.
