What monitor?

The only serious reasons you might consider an LCD are:
- Space .. some people simply dont have space
- If you buy into the "easier on the eyes" argument
The downside of LCDs are:
- Cost
- Ghosting (i.e., high response times = bad)
- Low color precision
- Hardlined native resolutions
Realistically, unless you're ultra-strapped for space then CRTs are the best route :)

Yeah, great, I gave you a link, could you PLEASE check it out and tell me if specs are good enough? It IS a crt. ;)

Btw, you're born 9 days after me.

Well my two cents for what it's worth :-). I've visited the link and the monitor I see should be just fine for gameing or whatever else you want to use it for. As far as price and such goes I've not researched lately but shop around.

I fell that 19" over 17" is a plus when gameing and you should be able to find a great crt monitor with a flat screen for around $300. (depending on where you are)

I purchase my monitor last year http://www.extremepc.ca/monitor.asp ,it's the eXtreme F908 19" flat crt (Black) and it's been great for gaming and it costed me 299. localy.

Neat. That screen costs about $213.33333, cheaper than many 17", and it is the most expensive monitor I can afford. ;)
Don't feel like I need a flat-screen. Can't see the use for it. I've got space for a CRT monitor. Heck, I could fit 3 computers at my desk. So this would probably be a great buy for me. :)

Well It really depends on what you mean by flatscreen ;-).. A flat screen crt has advantages for gameing as well as everyday use, You get alot less glare from lights inside as well as outside light on your screen giving a much more pleasent experience :-).

as far as the panel monitors (LCD, etc) there are a small few good for gameing but they just are not as good as a CRT in the gameing circuit :).

So I always suggest a CRT Monitor and If you can get it a Flat screen "CRT" for gameing and everyday use :-).

If you want a really good monitor then the Flatron F900P is the way:

It costs a little bit more, but it worth the difference, believe me.
Beware: don't buy a "B" Flatron (with a B at the end of model name), only "P"s are good.
