I want to assemble a fast but not expensive computer, based on celeron. What MB should I take, and what memory? Do I need 512 MB or this extra memory is not useful if I use Celeron?
sure it is...give it to me lol jk. as for the mobo http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=13-131-474&depa=0 i guess this is a decent board. overclocking friendly, and if you dont then it certainly seems stable enough and has lots of features. not to $$$$ eaither. im not an intle person so maybe i just advertised the WORST board ever lol...get a second opinion.
The board is actually the one i had in mind when i said a i848 based board... i would go so far as to say overclocker friendly but its a solid board.Realistically the desktop celerons dont benifit much from OCing so thats probably not a route to take (especially on a limited budget, you just want it to "work")
Of course u do need to consider the interface as well as the core speed of the cjip, no point in gettng a low-end, say 800mhz board if ur chip is a 533 (which i think it is, unless u want to).
