Blue, no FEAR does not even come close to HL2's faces, but neither do any other games on the market. I still have the demo of FEAR though. It has an awfully low polygon count, but if you run it all on high, the effects really shine through in slow mo. You shoot with your shot gun, you see all the pellet trails, and then he explodes into a gush of blood.... its sooooooo cool.
 
quake4 is the best graphic game i ever saw, it is better than HL2, and i don't think that QUAKE4 is a doom3 clone

Everyone I know that plays Quake 3 now plays Quake 4. Also Quake 3 is the odd apple here. If your familier with the Quake series then you would know that Quake 3 is the clone here. Quake 3 is a Unreal Tourny clone. There was always offline story play in the Quake series until Quake 3 came along to tip the scale a bit back to ID as everyone was looking for that Arena style play that Unreal Tournament had. The Graphics in Quake 4 are basicly equal to Doom 3 but better as there tends to be more lit areas in Quake 4. When it comes to online Quake 4 then I would have to say it's the same as Quake 3 as for the Arena style play although obviously Quake 4's graphics are far superior then Quake 3. Also Quake 4's online is not as polished as Quake 3's basicly because Quake 4 is Single player first and multiplayer second. This is how it was intended as Quake 2 was intended.

Fair comment(s), Im not really a single player gamer, I like to play multiplayer more beacuse it offers more interactive action, a point I will make is that most of the quake3 clan players I know are disapointed with the multiplayer side of things. Everyone has there opinions I guess but my gut feeling tells me the online gamers will not play q4 for as long as people have played quake3, Just take a look at the master scan results, I would guess the majoity of the servers are empty, but as I stated there is potential for soem good modding, the overall game play is to heavy and slow though IMO. Time will tell I Guess.
 
Well I don't really like hl2. But I play it on and off everytime though. I'm still at the begining of it. :(
 
2002... NOLF2 still looks awsome even after almost 4 years. Gotta love the awesome job they did on calcuta. I hope FEAR sells good enough for them to make a NOLF3 :o
 
id love to have NOLF 3 here.. i still play 2,.. and indeed, it still hase some decent grafics.. and its truly awesome
