ok so im gonna get my new comp runnin soon right, and i need some kind of program that'll transfer my mp3's and other videos from my old comp to the new one...i noticed that aol intant messanger has a little file transfering thing but it goes soooooo slow (and takes like 5 hours to trasfer anything ) any ideas what would be good?
I can imagine, you're probably sending the data out through your internet connection, and then back.
Perhaps the easiest way is to either just buy a crossover cable, and create a temporary network between the computers, and then just share a drive, and transfer the files through windows explorer.
Alternatively, you can pull the hard drive out of the old computer, put it in the new computer, and transfer the files that way.
Another way would be to burn the files onto a CD/DVD on the old computer, then put the CDs/DVDs into the new computer, and copy the files off them.
