What PSU wattage?

Okay so I'm planning to build a computer with these parts:

AMD FX6300 Hexa core CPU
ASRock
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB
Samsung DVD burner
Sapphire HD7850 GPU
Gelid Silent 120mm fan

Just wondering would a 500W PSU be able to power this sort of system or do I need a bigger one. Or could I even go for a less powered one?

Thanks

A good 500W by Corsair or Seasonic should power it, but I would bump it up to 600W. Also, what is the board model?

Corsair CX 600 or any 600W or 650W PSU from XFX, Seasonic, Antec, Silverstone, OCZ etc etc.

A 500 or 550 would be enough probably but I'd go 600 just for the headroom.

Sorry forgot to add that, it is an Asrock 970 Extreme 4 motherboard

Thanks for the suggestion though, I think I will opt for the 600W PSU though this will bump my total build price closer to £530

Thanks for the help. Currently I have chosen an OCZ 500W PSU but I think I'll choose the CX 600. Corsair seem like a good company :)

That's what I have. It's a great PSU. You could get the modular version (600M) to simplify cable management for an extra 10 bucks.
