what ram does my computer accept?

hello, I have an hp pavilion a620n and it has 512 MB DDR SDRAM and I want to know if it accepts DDR2 SDRAM, my friend said there was a program to tell that but he forgot the name, do you know of it? does anyone here know if my computer accepts DDR2 ram? thanks for any help.

Yeah I bought ddr ram and I have ddr2 by mistake Loll and It was made different and had more or less of some thngs on it. I forgot what it's called but where you plug the ram in theres all those little gold notches.
