what Security software you use?

I have panda platinum, it slows down everything and makes my computer take an editional 5 minutes to open the internet (I mean just the program itself, i have broadband). I personlay feal it is overprotective or maybe just badly designed, but is it safe? I haven't heard much about panda platinum.

panda is a really good product.. that slowdown might be ur setup.. maybe that 256 might not be cuttin' it... and its trusted... i think here on computerforum.. they recommend the panda online scanner.. and this other one.. norton been in the game a while.. but im just not too fond of them..

34erd is correct Panda sucks. It made every single computer at work slow down. One to the point that it would just not let you do anything. The program will use all the CPU. AVG did better it found virus that Panda did not find.computerhakk Just incase you ask all those systems have 512 of ram with is not great but works great just for office daily use.

used to use norton corporate. was too bloated, never really did anything...uninstalled (would still recommend however)

now i use Spybot Search and Destroy
AdAware 6.0 SE
and AVG Free Edition
and i'm behind a proxy lol...as if it mattered. :)

Antivirus:
Norton Internet Security 2005

Anti-Spyware:
Ad-Aware
Microsoft Anti-Spyware
Spybot Search&Destroy

and i know norton takes up alot of memory, but i find it to be really good for a firewall and antivirus.

panda is great. in any shape or form, i am not telling you to use panda. it was a mere answer to the question. im guessing you are not using a full retail bought copy of panda titanium/platinum 2005 v4.02. maybe a copy or pirated cracked copy. as for the slow down, i never had any problems, at that may be because panda has "true prevent" where it is constantly scanning you computer for new threats and monitoring what files you bring in and take out.

I use norton2005 it does not slow down my computer at all, only uses 10mb of ram unless I am doing a scan!

Spyware I am using ewido and xoftspy!

i haven't seen anybody using look'n'stop for firewall in this thread. i've read it was doing a great job, isn't it?
anyway, this is my firewall at the moment and i'm having no problem with it.
avast! for anti-virus & spybot & ad-aware
