I use it for downloading, surfing the internet, games, music, dvd and some digital art.

It's components are as follows:

1. PROCESSOR: AMD Phenom 9600 (quad),
1b. Mother Board I looked at the companys website and for the motherboard it says "4006254RECS MCP61PM-GM AM2 mATX Motherboard" I did a little searching and I'm still not sure what part other than mATX applys to the motherboard. I do intend on getting 64bit vista at some point so if this mb doesnt support the extra ram then its gotta be replaced.

2. HARD DRIVE: A Dying 500GB WDC WD50 00AAKS-00YGA SCSI, This is getting replaced this weekend, I am planning on getting a SATA with at least 500gb if you know of a good one I'd like to hear of it.... this drive was bought new in january and I hear it slowly dying and I couldn't be more pissed.

3. RAM: 4GB DDR2 Dual-Channel (current max)

4. VIDEO CARD: NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT

5.DVD+/-R/RW: Pioneer DVD-113NP ATA, right after this burns a dvd the disk is very warm, also while burning it makes a loud noise (which is normal) but then it stops for a second or 2 and then resumes over and over untill its done. This is my first burner so I wasn't sure if that was normal or not.

6. OPERATING SYSTEM: Vista Home Premium 32-bit. , I am thinking of upgrading to the 64 bit depending on whether or not the mother board allows the extra ram.

7. Logitech G15 gaming keyboard, and a Razer: Lachesis mouse.

well your video card could be upped to the 4850. A 500GB SATA will cost you around $100. The Seagate Barracuda seems good, I have one, hey, i bought mine in about january too!! Also my brother has a seagate. They seem pretty good.

Thanks alot for the heads up on that. I think im going to replace it with another 4 core, not as well suited for video games yet but it better suits my needs.
