What should i do with my server....

Well i just got a free server yesterday (dell poweredge 350, 85p MHz :(, 750ish mb ram, 150 GB hd.) but i have no idea what i should use it for, i should use it while it is still semi good before it is way too outdated (made in 2003 :eek:) anyway i already have a backup/file server and a firewall/vpn server and i dont really need a homepage. What do you think i should use it for... i have all of technet so if it is a MS product i can use it or some fun linux thing would be cool too...

Set up a ISA server from the CD you bought, from there you can configure a firewall.

I will be able to tell you everything in 2 weeks, just started learning ISA server today. :D

Almost completed my MCSA.
 
I could use a server! :D It'll save me time and money! (I need one at work to host the system images so I don't have to wait for the MyBook to be available.)

I use untangle firewall. its secure, easy, and does not need tooo much sys resorces. Just install the cd you make and attach the external network to one eth port and the internal to the other. setup the dhcp and you should be good. There is many how-to's on the site...

Yeah i setup an isa at school. its a pain in my butt anyway i dont think it is as good as my firewall now just because it does not have virus blocker (stand alone i mean) or any additional stuff
 
IIS is best if you want to develop ASP.NET pages using visual studio

if you want PHP pages, best to go for apache
