Some of you already know that I am having some Fan problem with my New OS (XP pro) I tried speedfan to limit the speed of the fan but when doing this I can see my Hardrive temp going up and one of them has a fire simple beside it. I thought it may be caused by virus or spyware but it is not because all the scans that i did cameout clean. What i did is reinstalling my Orinigal OS that came with my sony computer(XP home) to see if the fan is till spining crazy. The fan is normal(what I call normal) because it is not loud. Then I installed the XP pro agian to see what happends and the fan turns out to be super loud.
Instead of finding a solution to solve the fan problem with XP pro I will use my original XP home instead.
Here is my new problem.
I want to install my Orinial OS(XP home) on a NTFS formate hardrive instead of FAT32. the problem is that when installing my Original OS(sony recovery disc) it formates my hardrive into to 2 partitions, C and D, with C being FAT32 and D NTFS. I didn't want that so I used Maxtor program to format my hardrive into one partition on NTFS formate instead of two(C and D) and here is the thing, when installing my Original OS it asks me to formate my hardrive into two partitions (C and D)(there is also a option of skiping the formate, I didn't know if it is ok to skip it since I formate the hardrive useing Maxtor program. Is it ok to skip it? or is there a better program that I can use to formate instead of using maxtor's?) SO i chosed formating the partition. EVerything when ok untill I finished OS installation because MY intire hardrive only have 16GB of space as to it's original space of 60GB.(and there is only C dirve. instead of C and D)
EDIT- WIth out my OS i can't go online so... I used my school computer to post this and today is the last day of the finals so it may be some time before I can see the answers and reply to your help. But please post your answers.

P.S: I have two hardrives. one 60GB that came with my sony computer that is about to die and another 250GB maxtor. I used my Maxtor 250GB as a master drive for sometime but it is so bad because it causes alot noise, Noise like zzzzzzzzz that the old PII,III computer make in my school. MY original 60GB hardrive is about to die because it make strange sound sometimes(I know it is about to die because I had another maxtor drive 200GB and it is used the same time in the same computer side by side with my 60GB. the maxtor 200GB die becasue I hit my computer on the front and it is also then that my original hardrive started making strange noise.) I am only useing 60GB original hardrive right know to figer out how to install my orininal OS on a NTFS drive. SO Is there any brand of hardrive that can be used as a master drive with out haveing all these noise like maxtor is making?)
