I'm looking to hook my old PC to my TV to play nintendo emulators and other lower end emulators. WHich kind of card would be best. The games are so small and obviously nintendo and sega type graphics so i wouldnt need much. I have an HDTV with S-VIdeo and COmponent jacks open. I'd prefer using the component wires...is this possible?

Buy an old PCI graphics card and a VGA to Component cable

Seriously though you could probably just use a s-vid cord cause you wouldn't need component.

Nice

Thanks a lot. I know more than the avg person about computers but not much about video or sound cards (i've never installed either). Best Buy tried to tell me I needed a 90$ Video card and such...what a joke...Thanks again guys. I'll go to the sound card page and post about if i can possibly hook it up to my stereo..

a $90 video card at bestbuy or circuit city is like a Geforce 6800. Walmart still sells FX5500's. It cracks me up when I walk down the electronics aisle at walmart......

One more question

I just took the old computer out of the closet...It has an S-Video jack on the back so can I just use that?

when i wanted to change my powersupply and i didnt know how to change it myself my first one, bestbuy said it cost 50 dollars and there are tons of connections you put in your motherboard and you dont want to mess it up, lol heh the day after that i studied enough how to make one my self and even took it apart and out this was when i was 13, im like ugh ya 2 wires cpu pin and 20/24 pin ya real complicated
