What storage device should i get?

im wondering what storage device i need for my computer, i play games and i do dl quite a bit of stuff and surf the internet.
i am looking for around a 2tb storage.

I play games like Dota 2, skyrim and others.

Trust me, I have a WD Green 2TB as a storage drive and it is slow, so I'd always advise 7200 RPM. The Green is the same price as that Seagate, and because the Seagate is faster, it makes sense to get the Seagate.

Do you even have close to 2T of stuff?

If a 1TB drive is plenty, get two of them and create a mirrored array thereby creating an automatic back up.

You could even consider buying a small SSD and another of the same drives you have already and do both.

I will second the seagate. I put one of the 1 TB models in my pc, and it has served me well so far.

It is filling up quick though and will be getting a second drive soon. Will probably end up going for seagate again. Thought about trying western digital, but if the barracuda drives work why try and change it.

im really interested in the 2tb 7200 rpm harddrive, i might look for 2 1tb hard drives but that depends

Well if you feel you need 2TB of disk space, get the 2TB drive, but if not, then get two 1TB disks and mirror them in RAID-1.

The two 1TB disks in RAID-1 will be good if you want to backup your data easily, since RAID-1 makes two identical copies of each drive, so if one drive fails, your data is still OK on the other disk.
