SCSI is a type of hard drive interface, like IDE and SATA. Its supposed to be faster than both, but I have no idea if it is. Raid, in its simplest form, is using 2 hard drives to load data faster then just one hard drive.
It allows you to use up to 15 SCSI drives in a computer via a PCI add-on card. SCSI can be much faster then SATA, they have 15K RPM drive while SATA only has uo to 10K RPM's.SCSI is no faster than SATA at the moment but, maybe soon will be...

I wasnt referring directly to transfer rates, I was talking more along the lines of the 15K RPM SCSI drives being faster at accessing and reading/writing data.Can SCSI transfer what it gathers from the 15k speed?

Yes. A single 15k SCSI drive will probably transfer around 88-120MB/s. And that card uses SCSI Ultra/320 so it has a transfer rate of up to 320MB/s on the cable...a little faster than SATA, yes?Can SCSI transfer what it gathers from the 15k speed?
If you figure that the SATAII interface is 300MB/s, and SATA hard drives dont get anywhere near that, you dont have to worry about not having enough bandwidth to move the data. And as cromewell said SCSI can have up to a 320MB/s transfer rate, in addition to having 15K RPM drives.It doesn't do a darn bit of good if it's going without having it in the RAM quicker.
