what to do intel or extra videocard.

in a few days i have a extra money for spending on my pc.
but i can not deside what to do.
go for a extra card ore a new setup.
i mostley play games and i use winrar very much.
the setup i have is an amd fx 8320, now im thinking to go for a intel 3570k.
ore mayeby a extra 7870 xt to go in crossfire, but the motherbord i have has 16x4 in crossfire.

please advice

Your motherboard only supports PCI Express Gen 2 so I wouldn't use it in CF. I think a Gen 3 slot in x4 would have been alright.

Save up for a new card. A new CPU and motherboard will cost you about the same as a new high end GPU. You will get more FPS with a new GPU rather than a new platform.

I would work on a higher overclock. I would think that the H100 would be able to handle a 8320 on 4.5+.

Oh and if you havent already make sure that Winrar has multithreading enabled.

i know winrar is multithreading, and yes i high end gpu is also possible thinking 7970 forgot to mension.
and amd has no gen 3 ready bord right now, and the effect is also not much.
most new cards and mobo,s from intel are ready for gen 3 but the games still not.
yes 4,5 is no problem, but i,m not getting it prime stable, only for a benchmark.

What temps are you getting with 4.5? It just seems that you should have no problem with that OC. However it is up to you how high you want to take it.

Games do not need to be coded for Gen 3 slots... It is a hardware advancement, not software. The main benefit is that the bandwidth is doubled as you move up in generations. Since your card would not be bottlenecked my a 2.0/2.1 x8 slot you would also be fine with your card in a 3.0 x4 slot. That's the point that I was trying to make.

the temps are oke, at 4.6 in 3d vantage 47 degrees.
so thats not the problem, problem is i,m not getting it stable, but i,m new at overclocking. i put up the voltage, multiplier up, cie, core state, coole and quit of. nothing.
multiplier down memory at 1866 and fsb up, nothing.
at 4.0ghz its prime95 stable, up 4,0 its not.
i understand the point, i,m also thinking on a 7970.

Well a 7970 will give you more performance gain than an i5 3570K and a Z77 board would.

I wouldn't get another 7870, just go for one powerful card for now. :)

The ASUS one would be good. I've always been a fan of Sapphire Radeons though. ;)

yes sapphire is good i like this 1 to very much SAPPHIRE HD 7970 3GB GDDR5 OC with Boost only problem is the 2 year warrenty compared to the 3 year of asus. choices, choice,s always choice,s.

You probably would've upgraded in 2 years time anyway. I wouldn't let the warranty put you off.
