What to do with laptop with broken screen

Hey.

I have an old dell laptop with a broken screen. Any ideas what todo with it? It is connected to our wireless network and has reasonable hardisk size.

What can i do with it for free?

I was using logmein.com yesterday and made me think. Could i use the old laptop in a similar way- controling it from my laptop over LAN??

Any ideas?
 
How old is it/what model? If it's not that old, it may be worth repairing... also, most laptops that aren't ancient have a video out port, so you should be able to use a regular monitor with it.

You mean repairing it? Selling generally doesn't cost very much.

Also, if you're short on cash, I'd buy it from you. I've been looking for a fixer-upper lappy.
